by rangers gm on June 29, 2008, 07:45:51 PMWe've made a bunch of deadline deals that should put us into position to make a run in the second half of the season. Unfortunately, only 1 of the players acquired made it onto the roster for the last sim because I was too lazy to give Phil pre-sim instructions (or the cpu thinks the players I acqured suck) . However, we will be ready for tomorrow's sim with a brand new lineup and pitching staff! How did your team do? 19 Views | 0 Replies

by rangers gm on June 24, 2008, 01:35:06 PMWithin 5 games now and I'm starting to think that this team might be poised for a run. We've got a couple guys coming back from injuries and I've shuffled some of the deadwood out of the Majors, in the hopes that giving the young guys a shot at The Show will pay dividends. Congrats to SP A. Echeverria, 1B A. Torres, and RF R. Collins on making the All Star game. How did your team do??? 47 Views | 3 Replies

by rangers gm on June 23, 2008, 06:56:03 AMFinished June on a horrible losing streak and are now 8 games out. Very disappointing, but July's a new month and hopefully some of the changes, necessitated by injury, will start to pay off for us. How did your team do?? 29 Views | 1 Reply

by rangers gm on June 19, 2008, 12:05:55 PMRANGERS SWEEP CLEVELAND!! Put up 27 runs in 3 games against the Tribe. How you like that Freddy?? We lose another key player for 3 weeks, and are now 3 games behind in the AL West race, but who cares......we crushed the Indians, and that's all that matters. Actually, now that I look at it, the next 7 games are HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE for us, as we have 3 against the 2nd place Angels and 4 against the 1st place A's. Time to go to work, boys!! by rangers gm on June 12, 2008, 06:29:16 AMWe lose another one, as Bill Mounts tears a thigh muscle and is sent to the DL for 4 weeks. Our trainers are working overtime this season trying to keep 9 guys on the field at one time. No change in the standings as we still trail the Angels by 1. The rumor around the Lone Star State is that the Rangers are about to announce a big trade that could put them atop the power rankings by the All Star Break! by rangers gm on June 10, 2008, 05:04:15 AMThe Rangers were dealt another serious injury blow this week, as Stacey Wedge fractured his knee rounding first base. He will never play again. This guy could do it all and do it well. He played 3 infield positions, SS 2B and 3B, hit for average but had a little pop in his bat when it was needed, and was a threat to steal anytime he got on base. Somehow, despite losing Wedge, we climbed (or LA fell) to within 1 game of first place! How did your team do this week? 48 Views | 3 Replies
