Saturday, February 18th, 2023: SP John Rapier Agrees to Pact with Seattle
Seattle's signing of John Rapier was met with mixed reactions today as the 39-year-old starting pitcher was introduced to the media. Some experts consider him overpaid at $2,330,000 a year for 1 year, while others insist that Rapier is a perfect fit for the Mariners.

Rapier's won-lost record is 93 wins and 96 losses with a 4.56 ERA and opposing hitters have compiled a .431 average against him.
Tuesday, February 7th, 2023: Seattle Wins Lottery for SP Pinto
Sportswriters, fans and team officials watched today as 40-year-old starting pitcher Renyel Pinto committed to a $9,780,000, 2-year deal with the Seattle organization.

Some openly worry that despite his talent, Pinto is too old to get it done anymore and that his value to the club will sharply diminish before the 2-year agreement has run its course.

Pinto has chalked up a lifetime ERA of 3.68 with 177 victories and 138 defeats. He has totaled 2384 career strikeouts in 2887 innings while holding opponents to a .656 batting average.
Thursday, September 1st, 2022: Capuana Gone for Season in Seattle
Doctors in Seattle said Domeneco Capuana may not play anymore this year. The Mariners starting pitcher received a ruptured bicep tendon during a game against the Boston Red Sox and will be out for at least 8 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.

Checking out his stats for the season, Capuana has notched 5 wins and 2 losses in 9 starts, 5.37 ERA and struck out 17 batters in 57 innings.
