Talk of a deal between New York (A) and Angel Apodaca came together today as the two sides inked a deal worth $3,740,000 over 1 year.
Apodaca is highly regarded around Beyond the Ivy for his talents and is expected to add that extra spark to the Yankees roster.
In his career Apodaca has totaled 116 victories and 126 defeats with a 4.79 ERA. The 34-year-old hurler also has struck out 1421 batters in 2051 innings and surrendered 2307 hits.

There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Daniel Olson, the New York (A) third baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the American League Player of the Week honors.
Olson piled up 9 hits in 21 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs while hitting .429.
Olson is hitting .297 this year with 29 home runs, 93 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has 156 hits in 525 at-bats, 59 walks and a .371 on-base percentage. Olson has played in 137 games.

New York (A) fans will be disappointed to learn that Merrill Bee developed a strained bicep muscle while throwing the ball in today's game. After the doctor informed the New York (A) Yankees manager that Bee was expected to miss 3-4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the starting pitcher could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
This year Bee has fanned 98 in 189 innings and collected a 9-11 record with a 4.19 ERA.
