Saturday, November 12th, 2022: Murray Nabs AL Rookie of the Year award
Pat Murray was the preeminent newcomer this year in the American League and the winner of the 2022 Rookie of the Year award.

The Toronto right fielder played 131 games this season, hitting for a .351 with 169 hits, 17 home runs, 83 RBIs and 110 runs scored.

Saturday, October 1st, 2022: Murray Grades Out as September's Top Rookie
This month Pat Murray bashed, belted and battered just about every American League pitcher in his path as he put up some substantial numbers to win the Rookie of the Week honors.

Day in and day out throughout September, the Toronto right fielder punished opposing teams with base hits, finishing with a .366 average. Murray went 45-123 in 27 games with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs, and 33 runs scored.

This year Murray is batting .337 with 17 home runs.

26-year-old Pat Murray sent shock waves through Beyond the Ivy last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, Murray made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .577 average, 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 runs batted in.

Where the Toronto Blue Jays right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Murray certainly made his mark last week.

A look at his 2022 stats shows Murray with a .344 average, 17 home runs, 81 RBIs and 105 runs scored. He has played in 134 games.
