The rumor has been out there for a while now and today it was made official. The San Diego Padres have sent 24-year old minor league starting pitcher Iván López to the Chicago (A) White Sox for 25-year old second baseman Steve Fuller.

Team officials were upbeat today as George Cayton signed an extension with the White Sox. He'll be calling Chicago (A) home for the next 3 years and will earn $9,060,000 in salary by the end of the contract.
